My name is Robert Funke; I invented this website. As of this writing, it’s very much in development. On this website, I once used the editorial “we,” which was fun at first, but increasingly lonely and sad. If you want to get on board, email me.
I’m hoping to find some sort of career that will pay me to sit around and try to be clever about the things that matter to me. Most people with those sorts of aspirations start blogs. It’s time I got on board.
Lots of things matter to me. My family. Apartheid [prevention]. Eczema awareness. Lions. My own physical comfort. Vanderbilt athletics.
Vanderbilt athletics is the easiest to blog about, so that’s what I’m doing here. I’ve been a fan of Vanderbilt sports since birth. I’m not interested in reporting box scores or mining recruiting information; there are other websites that do that far better than I ever could. What this blog intends is the proliferation of the strange, tragic, convoluted psyche of the Commodore fan, a species at once infinitely cynical and infinitely hopeful. I’m also interested in the unique stories, insecurities, and fantasies of an academically-intense university in a sports-intense league.

Have a nice day, and Go ‘Dores.
